Press Release – Netherlands partner leaving the project

Prague, Sep 5th, 2013

With due regret we are to inform that the Netherlands partner, Foundation Moscow Union of Non-Governmental Associations-Societies of Friendship with People of Foreign Countries, has taken the decision to leave the project. This is due to their disagreement with the approach and the working methods agreed upon by all other partners before and during the initiation phase of the project.

Unfortunate as it is, we regard positively the fact that the disagreements were identified during this early stage of the partnership. This allows hope that all other partners and participants have a common understanding of the project goals and the working methods to be applied.

The main takeout from this is to strive for even better alignment with potential partners prior to the submission of future proposals or generally before taking on any new significant risks shared by multiple parties.

As we are approaching the first partnership meeting in Prague, we are finalizing the preparations and are not expecting any other significant changes in project makeup, structure or timeline.

We are wishing the team of Foundation Moscow Union of Non-Governmental Associations-Societies of Friendship with People of Foreign Countries success in their current and future endeavors and good health.

On behalf of the CMPIP team,
Igor Rubinovich
CMPIP Coordinator
